Ten actors have now joined the previously announced new season, which is officially titled “Horror: The Devil in Silver,” and is based on the novel “The Devil in Silver” by Victor Lavallee.
New additions include: Judith Light (“Before,” “Out of My Mind”), C.C.H. Pounder (“Rustin,” “NCIS: New Orleans”), Chinaza Uche (“Silo,” “A Good Person”), Hampton Fluker (“Shades of Blue,” “Instant Family”), Bee (“WeCrashed,” “You”), Asif Mandvi (“Evil,” “This Way Up”), John Benjamin Hickey (“The Big C,” “Lilly”), Stephen Root (“Barry,” “Heads of State”), Hayward Leitch (“Tom Swift,” “Love Life”), Michael Aronoff (“The Americans,” “Operation Finale”), Marin Ireland (“Sneaky Pete,” “Glass Chin”), and Philip Ettinger (“First Reformed,” “I Know This Much Is True”).
According to the official description for the series, Stevens will play Pepper, who is described as “a working-class man who, through a combination of bad luck and bad temper, finds himself wrongfully incarcerated in New Hyde psychiatric hospital—an institution filled with people society would rather forget. There, he must contend with patients who work against him, doctors who harbor dark secrets, and perhaps even the devil himself. As Pepper navigates a hellish world where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to confront the entity that thrives on suffering within the walls of New Hyde—but doing so may prove to be the worst demons of all living within.”
The season will consist of six episodes and is scheduled to premiere on AMC and AMC+ in 2025. Filming is currently underway in New York and New Jersey.
Chris Cantwell and LaValley are writers and executive producers of the season. Karyn Kusama will executive produce and direct the first two episodes. Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker will executive produce via Scott Free Productions, along with Alexandra Milchan and Scott Lambert of Emjag Productions, Jeamon Cassady of Entertainment 360, Stevens, and Brooke Kennedy. AMC Studios will produce.
