Finally, fashion for the weird and unusual.
Warner Bros. is going all out to release “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” a sequel to “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” which is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in August.
The sequel, starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega and Catherine O’Hara, reunites the old cast with a couple of new faces, including Willem Dafoe, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci. However, we’re most excited about the addition of four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, the current curator of Burton’s beloved gothic eccentric look. Recreating the looks from the original costume designer on the 1988 film created by Aggie Gerard Rodgers Burton, Atwood (who was recently spotted painting the stripes on the school uniforms of the cast of Wednesday ) will take up the mantle of costume design for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice . But before we can get a glimpse of her newly updated ghostly styles for the recently deceased, she’s also launching a brand-new Beetlejuice clothing line with Primark.
The Primark collection launches on August 26 and promises to capture “the essence of the gothic aesthetic,” according to the official press release. We’re excited to exclusively release the first two looks from Primark, which include a new take on the iconic black and white suit and an updated take on the red wedding dress from Lydia Dietz’s past.
Primark will also introduce displays inspired by the new film in five major cities in the UK, Ireland and Italy.
Atwood previously worked on the films “Sleepy Hollow,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” and “Chicago.”
