While these reports were later debunked, the film hit a major snag when Fox was hospitalized for a “medical emergency.” While Fox's exact condition remains a mystery, the film was completed using a double, with Fox returning for reshoots after he recovered.
Despite that being several months ago, very little was heard about the film's actual release date until Netflix set it for a November release as part of its TUDUM 2024 event. However, Netflix's TUDUM website has now revealed a new date of January 17, 2025. This means that those waiting to see the film will need to wait a few more months to do so.

Although at one point it seemed that Cameron Diaz was planning to leave Hollywood for the second time immediately after filming, Back to workIt seems the actress has changed her mind. Instead of returning to a “normal” family life – something she had previously left behind in Hollywood – Diaz has recently been linked to two exciting movie comebacks.
Back in March, it was revealed that Diaz would be teaming up with Keanu Reeves for the first time since their 1996 film, Feeling MinnesotaIn Jonah Hill's dark comedy, outcomeReeves plays a former movie star who must confront his past when he is blackmailed with a mysterious video from his past. No details have been revealed about Diaz's role in the film, but fans of the duo's previous film are eager to see if they can create a magical spark on screen.
Most recently, it was announced in July that the fifth film in the Shrek series would begin production, with the entire main cast expected to return. This will see Diaz return to the role of Princess Fiona, a role she first voiced in 2001. It has been 14 years since then. Partner Forever The Shrek movie has been released, but with so many popular franchises returning to the pool for more movies, it's perhaps no surprise that Shrek would join the ranks of upcoming animated sequels.
