Chappell Roan Cancels All Things Go Fest Shows to ‘Prioritize My Health’


Fans hope so See Chappell Roan at All Things Go in New York City and Baltimore this weekend will have to wait a little longer. The singer announced on Friday that she was “unable to perform” at both shows, due to her health and the “overwhelming” past few weeks.

“I really feel it,” Rawan wrote in the post announcing her group cancellations. “I feel pressured to prioritize a lot of things right now and need a few days to prioritize my health.”

“I want to be present when I perform and give the best performances possible. Thank you for your understanding,” she continued. “Back soon.”

All Things Go Fest shared their support for Rowan, saying they were “saddened” by the decision but reminding fans that “health and well-being always come first.”

“All Things Go strongly supports artists who prioritize their well-being, and we ask our community to rally around Chapel Rowan with love and understanding,” the festival wrote. “Let's continue to show the world that music fans support not only art, but the artists themselves.”

Rowan was scheduled to perform on Saturday at the festival's edition in New York City and on Sunday at the festival hosted in Columbia, Maryland.

The new cancellation comes several weeks after the singer set boundaries between her private and public persona, denouncing the type of behavior some fans had around her. “I've wanted to be an artist for a very long time. I've been involved in a lot of non-consensual physical and social interactions, and I just need to come clean and remind you that women don't owe you anything,” she wrote on Instagram on August 24.

The singer also spoke Rolling Stone About her struggle with mental health and dealing with her overnight fame. “I wouldn't have been able to handle any of this even a year ago today. It was just too much,” she said.

Earlier this week, she also made headlines after being accused of supporting Donald Trump for not explicitly endorsing Kamala Harris. She made it clear on TikTok that she would vote for vice president.

“I don't agree with a lot of what's going on in politics. Frankly, damn the policies on the right, but also damn some of the policies on the left. That's why I can't support,” Rowan said. And my entire project is behind one name. There is no way I can stand behind some of the left's completely transphobic and absolutely genocidal views. So, yes, there is huge Problems with both. “You know what is right and wrong, and so do I.”
