Dexter Star Michael C. Hall Makes Killer Return Announcement at SDCC

Dexter Not only will star Michael C. Hall return as “Dexter's inner voice” in the upcoming prequel series. Dexter: Original SinHe also directed his own sequel series, Dexter: ResurrectionIt was revealed (via Deadline). It was announced during Dexter Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where Hall himself appeared and said he couldn't wait to see Economic Cooperation Organization Star Patrick Gibson plays the younger version of the serial killer.

“It’s so exciting. I have memories of the first time I came to Comic-Con. We were in this room. That was 75 years ago? It’s amazing that I’m still alive. I can’t wait to see this show. To some extent, I have a sense of what’s coming. I’ve spent so much time with this character and to go back and fill in these imaginative blanks in this colorful show… It’s amazing.”

In addition to his sudden return in Dexter: Original SinParamount Global co-CEO Chris McCarthy announced Hall's return in the new series that has been revealed.

“We are thrilled to have the incredible Michael C. Hall return to his legendary role as Dexter Morgan on Showtime’s most successful series ever. While ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ will delight tens of millions of longtime fans, ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ will introduce a whole new generation of viewers to this legendary series by starting from the beginning, which is sure to please existing audiences as well.”

While we wait for answers, Dexter: Original Sin The series will run for 10 episodes and begins in 1991, 15 years before the original series. The series stars Patrick Gibson as Dexter, Christian Slater as his father Harry, and Molly Brown as his sister Debra. The rest of the cast includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Reno Wilson, Alex Shimizu, Joe Pantoliano, Brittany Allen, and Patrick Dempsey.
