‘SNL’ Adds Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, Jane Wickline to Cast


Saturday Night Live has added three new standouts for its milestone 50th season: Ashley Padilla, Emile Wakim and Jen Wicklin. Meanwhile, Chloe Troust—who made her Saturday Night Live debut in season 49—will be leaving the show. diverse And he confirmed.

“Unfortunately, I wasn’t invited back to SNL this season. I wish I could come back and be with all the amazing friends I made there, it felt like home. But that wasn’t the case,” Troust wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “I want to thank everyone who supported me. Especially everyone who came out to see my tour this summer, dressed up as characters and had such wonderful things to say. You mean the world to me. I hope I was able to spread joy, laughter and love. Onward and upward.”

In addition to the new cast members, SNL is promoting Marcelo Hernandez (who was on the cover of diverse(Hollywood Youth Power Release), Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker to the main cast.

Badia has been a member of the Groundlings, an improvisational comedy and theater troupe, since 2021. This year, she has appeared as a guest on HBO's “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and NBC's “Night Court.”

Wakim is an American comedian, writer, and actor of Lebanese descent. He has appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and was selected as the New Face of Comedy at the 2022 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.

Wicklin, a Los Angeles native, was a cast member on the TikTok live show, “Stapleview,” which launched in March 2022. She also performs short comedy routines during the tour.

The 50th season of “SNL” premieres on September 28 at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
