The country legend will play three gigs at the Venetian: “How many hits can we fit into one show? Let’s find out!!!!”
Wynonna Judd will head to Las Vegas to celebrate her storied 40-year career with a run of shows at the Venetian Resort in December.
The three gigs will take place Dec. 11, 13, and 14, all starting at 8:30 p.m (and coinciding with the National Finals Rodeo competition). Per a press release, the show is being billed as a “Greatest Hits” gig to commemorate the start of Judd’s career back in 1984, when she and her late mother, Naomi, played their first concert together as the Judds. (The Judds also staged a reunion residency of their own at the Venetian in 2015.)
“Sometimes I feel like you just need to throw a big party for yourself! This is a milestone year for me,” Wynonna said. “Mom and I played our very first show in 1984, which means I’ve been performing live for 40 years. That’s more than half of my life! ‘The Greatest Hits’ celebration is a chance for the fans and I to celebrate. They have been with me for so long and my hope is that everyone will get to hear their favorite song. How many hits can we fit into one show? Let’s find out!!!!”
Tickets for the concerts will go on sale this Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. PT . A variety of pre-sales will begin on July 9 at 10 a.m. PT, with full info available on Judd’s website.
Judd has already played a bunch of shows this year, and has a whole lot more lined up before her Las Vegas run in December. Her next gig is scheduled for July 11 in Monte Vista, Colorado, after which she’ll kick off a steady late summer/early fall run that begins Aug. 2 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and wraps Oct. 5 in Phoenix.
