Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are currently in early talks to star in “The Drama,” which is being written and directed by “Dream Scenario” director Christopher Burgle.
Details of the project are still under wraps, but rumor has it that it's a love story that takes an unexpected turn before the couple's wedding day.
This marks another cinematic collaboration between A24 and Square Peg, with other films including “Hereditary,” “Midsommar,” “Dream Scenario” and the upcoming films “Death of a Unicorn” starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, and “Eddington” starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone.
It's been a big year for Zendaya, who's been riding high on hits like “Dune: Part Two” and “Challengers.” She's set to reprise her Emmy and Golden Globe-winning role as Rue Bennett in season three of HBO's “Euphoria.”
Pattinson is set to appear in Bong Joon-ho's sci-fi drama “Mickey 17,” set to premiere in January. He recently appeared on the big screen as Bruce Wayne in 2022's “The Batman” and as the voice of a gray heron in the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki's “The Boy and the Heron.”
Variety's chief film critic Peter Debruge praised Borgli's direction in his review of “Dream Scenario,” writing, “Norwegian director Borgli, making his English-language debut for A24 (through Ari Aster's production company), takes this surreal premise and approaches it with a tone that is a unique blend of comedy and evil.”
Zendaya is represented by CAA and Monster Talent Management. Pattinson is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment, WME, Curtis Brown, Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern. Borgli is represented by UTA, and Square Peg is represented by WME.
