Outlaws and Angels is a 2016 Western film directed by JT Mollner, starring Francesca Eastwood, Chad Michael Murray, Luke Wilson, and many others. Unlike many Westerns, this film deviates from the usual formula and instead delivers a wild ride full of psychosexual tension and brutality.

Set in 1887, in Cuchillo, New Mexico, the story follows a group of five outlaws, led by Henry, as they rob a bank in a nearby town. However, when the situation worsens, they flee into the woods, pursued by a group of bounty hunters led by Josiah. To find a safe haven, at least for the time being, the outlaws invade a peaceful family, which unexpectedly leads to a dramatic night of seduction and violence. The Long Riders (1980)

Walter Hill’s The Long Riders is notable for casting four sets of actual brothers to play the roles of the James-Younger Gang. The Western is meticulously crafted and tells the gritty narrative of the Younger brothers, who led legendary bank raids following an incident that set them on a path of vengeance.

Based on the true story, The Long Riders depicts the exploits of the Jesse James Gang and how their fixation with ethics led to their ultimate demise. The Marksman (2021)

The film, which also stars Katheryn Winnick, tells the story of a rancher who lives on Arizona’s border and stumbles upon a young Mexican boy desperately fleeing from a cartel.

One thing leads to another, and Jim ends up protecting the youngster from the vicious killers who are pursuing him in the United States. While The Marksman isn’t one of Liam Neeson’s best works, given his decades-long career, it’s still an entertaining watch. Despite its flaws, The Marksman remains a great popcorn Western thriller that will be available on Tubi beginning Apr. 1.
