Jeff Tweedy is getting ready to travel. On Tuesday, the Wilco frontman announced dates for his solo tour across the United States, including three-night residencies in Woodstock, New York, and Menlo Park, California.
Tweedy will kick off his tour with three shows at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock starting October 11, before heading to Columbus, Madison and Salt Lake City. He will spend three nights at the Guild Theater in Menlo Park to finish the tour starting October 28.
“Headgear” singer Elizabeth Moen will join Tweedy's band to open the recently announced shows. Ticket sales for the shows begin on August 2 at 10 a.m. ET.
He will also perform in Evanston, Illinois, at the city's Folklore Festival, and will also participate in the Kayamo Tour next February. In June, the artist joined the Solid Sound Festival and released the album cousin With Wilco last September.
His most recent solo release was a live performance of Lana Del Rey's “Margaret” alongside Jack Antonoff's band, The Bleachers. In the past year, Tweedy has released several singles, including “Filled With Wonder Once Again” and “Everything at Once” in collaboration with Rodney Crowell. His last solo album was released in 2020 with Love is king.
In May, Tweedy said, rolling stone He said he was working with his sons Spencer and Sami on a new album, with additional vocals from Seema Cunningham and Venom's Macy Stewart. “It's built around the idea of a group singing,” he said at the time, hinting at a 2025 release. “So that's exciting.”
