SNL Biopic Saturday Night to Be Released Same Day as the Show’s Premiere


Saturday Night Live The festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, and there will surely be a host of famous faces appearing this fall and next year to congratulate themselves and the festival. It’s easy to take this as a joke, given the dire state of the festival. SNL Over the past decade, it's also easy to forget just how popular the show once was. A new film from director Jason Reitman (Juno, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) will remind us of all of that, and will be released on the same date as the first episode of Saturday Night Live It premiered on October 11, 1975. Recent reports have suggested that the popular comedy show SNL may end its run after its 50th season. Is this the right decision?

Based on the story summary, it sounds like… Saturday night may be man birdA one-shot, animated-style film about the chaos that goes on behind the scenes of a bizarre production. Whether it was shot in one take (which is unlikely) or not, there are certainly enough actors and subplots in the background to carry through the 90 minutes leading up to the TV show itself.

Jason Reitman is an excellent choice to direct and co-write the film, given that he grew up around so many celebrities. Saturday Night Live Stars of the 70s and 80s. There are stories of his misbehavior as a child on the set of the original movie. Ghostbusters (With its multiplicity SNL Stars) thanks to his father, Ivan Reitman. Ivan was the famous producer and director behind many of the projects that the cast of Saturday Night Liveincluded Lines, Animal House, And Ghostbusters.


The film is produced by Jason Blumenfeld, Peter Rice, Jason Reitman, and Gil Kenan. The executive producers are Erica Mills and Joan Beritano. Gil Kennan was a writer in Ghostbusters: Afterlife And Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, He worked with Bill Murray on his movie Ember CityReitman trusts him enough to co-write this biography that tells the behind-the-scenes story of the birth of a cultural institution.
